Mission and Functions
The Complex General Dictorate Airport Security, is in charge of the organic and functional management of the complex airport security system of the Airport Security Police (PSA).
The organic management of the complex airport consists on the design, elaboration, and planning and/or upgrade of:
1] Complex airport security police operational and strategic doctrine.
2] The organic and deployment structure of the departments and units of the complex airport security system.
3] The police training and education specializing in complex airport security.
4] The police personnel structure of the complex airport security.
5] The logistic and infrastructural system of the complex airport security system.
6] The international relations concerning to the complex airport security system, as well as the management, planning and/or coordination of the institution participation in forums, international events and bodies referred or related to the complex airport security.
The functional management of the complex airport security system is developed through the Centre of Analysis, Command and Control of the Airport Security (CEAC), by means of the actions intended for the fulfilment of the following functions:by means of the actions intended for the fulfilment of the following functions:
1] Elaboration, planning, implementation and evaluation of the strategies and actions of complex airport security developed by the PSA.
2] Planning, management and control of the complex airport security actions and operations carried out by the institution, and its different specialized departments, tending to guarantee the monitoring, research and plotting of the complex crime activities related to drug trafficking, complex crime in its different forms, terrorism, activities which threaten public powers and the constitutional order, and other illicit activities related to or committed by organized criminal groups.
3] Planning, management and control of actions and operations plotted and of immediate response carried out by the institution and its different specialized departments before the act of criminal organizations dedicated to drug trafficking, complex crime in its different forms, terrorism, activities which threaten the constitutional order, and other illicit activities related to or committed by organized criminal groups.
4] Planning, management and control of actions and operations tending to the monitoring, investigation and plotting of crimes at the airport which result from the action of organized criminal groups.
5] Organization, planning and development of the management and administration activities of the complex airport information and intelligence carried out by the corresponding departments of the institution.
6] The coordination of the PSA complex security activities with other bodies and/or security or supervision police forces acting inside the airport, as well as foreign security agencies with which there were functional links settled in the reciprocity.
7] The assistance and cooperation to the judicial authorities competent in criminal investigation and crime persecution, according to the requirements made by such authorities which have to be performed by the complex airport security system.
